Hundreds tour wood lot, sign petition to stop road extension

Well over 300 people toured the Irish family grove wood lot last Saturday.

Most of the visitors questioned the need for a Livingston Avenue extension when improvements are needed to Hwy. 8.

“They were also very pleased to come out and see the significance of this woodlot,” said Bruce Mackenzie, who is helping lead the charge to stop the extension.

“We were really pleased with the suport. It was beyond our expectations.”
