Industrial accident claims West Lincoln teen

A West Lincoln teen working at a co-op place placement was killed when struck by a front-end loader on Friday morning.

At 9:45 a.m. members of the Niagara Regional Police Service, Niagara Emergency Medical Services and West Lincoln Fire Department responded to an industrial accident at Plazek Auto Recycler.

A 17 year old West Lincoln male was at his high school co-op placement when he was fatally struck by a front end loader.

Members of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit are working with the Coroner’s office and Ministry of Labour.

At the request of the family the name of the youth will not be released.
