Tuesday evening, Oct. 7, at about 7:15 p.m., Niagara Regional Police, Grimsby Fire Services and Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded to a call for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Investigation showed a 16-year-old Grimsby male who had been walking south bound on Mountain Road near Kemp Road in Grimsby when he was struck by a south bound 2002 GMC motor vehicle.
The 16-year-old was transported by ambulance to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton with life-threatening injuries.
The 48-year-old female driver from St Anns was not injured in the collision.
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
