A 16-year-old boy has died from injuries he suffered after being struck by a vehicle on Mountain Street in Grimsby.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7:18 p.m., Niagara Regional Police, Grimsby Fire Services and Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded to a call for a 16-year-old Grimsby teen who had been walking south on Mountain Road near Kemp Street when he was struck by a south bound 2002 GMC motor vehicle.
The 16-year-old was transported by ambulance to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton with life-threatening injuries.
The 48-year-old female driver from St Anns, West Lincoln, was not injured in the collision.
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
