Vineland residential fire leaves two deceased, two officers injured

Sunday, July 5 at about 8:35 pm, two officers from the Grimsby office of the Niagara Regional Police Service attended a residence on Epp Street in Vineland.

As a result of an interaction with a person from the residence the officers were injured.

One of the officers was transported via air ambulance to an out of region hospital for treatment. The second officer was treated locally.

A fire also occurred in the residence.

The bodies of two deceased persons were located in the residence.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) is investigating.
