Lincoln Fire hosts open house this Saturday for Fire Prevention Week

Lincoln’s Fire Department will be holding an open house at Station #1 in Beamsville on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

This free event is being hosted as part of Open Doors Lincoln and in recognition of Fire
Prevention Week.

There will be interactive displays, educational items available and all the equipment will be accessible for young and old alike.

Food and drink will also be available for visitors. All ages are welcome.

Lincoln fire chief Greg Hudson said the firefighters are eager to share their information and experiences with the curious.

“Our firefighters appreciate the opportunity our annual open house gives to interact with the residents, answer any questions, and give children some important pointers in fire safety,” he said.

Lincoln Fire Station #1 is located at 4594 Ontario St., Beamsville.

“This event is always great for the public and our firefighters enjoy it too. We are hoping for a big turnout.”
