Main Street in Grimsby will be a Christmas scene this Friday, Oct. 4.
A production crew for Hallmark’s Christmas in Montana will be downtown shooting various scenes along Main between Christie and Ontario streets from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6:30-10 p.m.
The south sidewalk will have some storefronts decorated and fake snow along the curb.
Some on-street parking will be blocked off over the same time frame to allow the crew to shoot from the north side of Main.
There will also be intermittent traffic stoppages under police supervision on the street during takes. These interruptions should only last 2-3 minutes, according to production staff.
Some south-side parking spots will be filled with prop cars bearing Montana license plates to ground the setting scenery.
The production will also be filming scenes at a Main Street West home, the scene of a fictitious bed & breakfast.
The production crew made special note that sidewalks would not be blocked to pedestrian traffic except for brief stints when film is rolling.
As well, all storefronts will be accessible throughout the day.
