Henry Vis, Ward 1, West Lincoln 2022
The Town of Smithville has given me so much over the past 38 years, so now it is time to give back. Years ago, as a shareholder of Avertex, together with my partners, we set up shop in the industrial park here in West Lincoln. Many of our employees come from the area, experiencing both happy and sad times in our community.
Through the years our company has been blessed and we have been able to donate to hospital fundraisers, school auctions, the G.B.F., etc. Many local sports teams have received our jerseys.
Thankfully, I have had the opportunity to invest in several commercial properties. I have also been a member of a local church community, as well as serving on school boards several times, and serving as a deacon in my current church.
One thing I did not do was invest my time. Working 50 hours a week, raising a family, and maintaining my property didn’t leave me much spare time. Now that I am semi-retired, I have all the time and resources required to be at your beck and call. I also have the commitment.
Many of my business associates, coworkers, friends, family, children, and grandchildren reside in West Lincoln. Each face is a reason to do my very best!
