ROBERTSON, Jim 1936-2023

Jim Robertson, husband of Doreen,
father of Brent and Joey, father-in-law of Indra and grandfather of Nica and Theo died on December 15, 2023. We, his family, want to recognize his quiet contributions to his community of Grimsby. After an early
retirement from Dofasco, Jim supported seniors to stay in their homes with home repairs, yard
maintenance and snow removal for many years. His next volunteer job was with Meals on Wheels where he drove and delivered (often both) for over 20 years until he was older than many of the clients. In his later years, Jim assisted the Women’s Auxiliary in mail delivery at West
Lincoln Memorial Hospital until it became too hard for him. A conservationist, he won an award for his maintenance of the natural landscape of his property in Grimsby. He joined in the fight to save the Grimsby woodlot while keeping a woodlot of his own in Muskoka.
